This includes each area of the Millroom including, Banbury, Chemical Weigh Up, Warm Up Mill, Slab Off Mill. The candidate will be responsible for operating equipment in an efficient and safe manner following all processes to produce a quality compound to manufacturing specifications.Essential FunctionsUse of Millroom, controls, temperature recorder, cycle clock in all areasCorrect use of all control systemsUnderstand and complete all duties in the mixing process including but not limited to:Understand basic principles of how Banbury mixes rubberUnderstand raw material codes and namesRead and understand mixing instructionsUnderstand use of and ability to identify accelerators, cure, types of oils and DLC’sUnderstand importance of batch to batch uniformity for die size controlChecking batch before mix to ensure all items are availableFollow all standard operating procedures for the Millroom departmentDemonstrate knowledge of slab off dipDemonstrate a sense of urgency in job completionComplete in process inspection sheets accurately and timelyClean up and maintenance duties of equipment and work areaResponsible for maintaining a clean work area within the departmentComplete daily production reporting neatlyComplete inventory process as requiredEach area will rotate within the departmentPerform all job responsibilities within the department as requiredRequirementsAbility to move/lift 50 lbsAbility to read a blueprint and tape measureWork in area that can be dustyBasic reading, writing and math skillsLifting, bending requiredAbility to work independently or with a team with solid communication skillsStrong attention to detail for quality assuranceExperience in manufacturing environmentAble to work on feet for extended periods of time- at least 8 hours a dayMust work overtime as requiredWillingness and ability to work in a warehouse with minimal temperature control, exposure to local temperature variations (hot & cold)Must follow all safety proceduresOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
