Estimator

We are a commercial general contracting company looking for core team members to join us in building all types of commercial and multi-family construction projects. Our members have managed over a billion dollars in commercial construction with project types ranging from small Tenant Improvements to $200MM+ projects. We are looking for an estimator to help leading project budgets and bidding. Responsibilities Manage project estimates or bids through a solid understanding of construction drawings, specifications and preconstruction processes while working with operations and management. Must be excellend communicators while working with multiple parties. Fundamental steps include: -Organize and distribute to potential subcontractors -Review scope, schedule and logistics with potential subcontractors -Perform take-offs of project scopes -Create conceptual estimates -Provide value-add recommendations to other members of the team -Summarizing and turning over project scope with other members of the team including project managers, superintendents, and project executives -Working with project team in selecting subcontractors and suppliers by weighing different aspects including risk, capabilities of different parties, cost, schedule, etc. -Works closely with architects and other professionals Qualifications -Bachelors’ degree in civil engineering, accounting, construction management, or similar field is preferred -Several years in estimating or project management in commercial construction in Utah -Able to use technology as tool throughout the estimating process -Ability to work under pressure -Excellent communicator Additional Info Benefits include health plan, 401k plan with company matching program, PTO, paid holidays, cell phone, annual bonus, working with a small yet growing team
