Barry McTiernan & Moore success is built on our focus and commitment to both our clients and employees!Admitted and practicing for a minimum of four years in NY?Barry McTiernan & Moore's Manhattan office is currently seeking an experienced Attorney to join our General Litigation group. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years practicing in the areas of premise liability defense and property claims. To be considered the experienced attorney must possess experience in all phases of pre-trial litigation as well as strong organization, writing and analytical skills. Trial experience is not required but a plus.Here's some of the work you will be doing.Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including discovery,Meticulous compliance with firm and client billing and reporting guidelines.Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences. Conduct complex legal research and discovery.Draft discovery demands and responses, motions, case evaluations summaries, settlement agreements, pleadings, and legal memoranda and other case handling materials in response to client guidelines.What you will bring to BMM!Expert experience with the New York General Municipal Law, CPLR, and City agency procedures.Superior court knowledge and experience arguing cases. Superior case management and advocacy skills.Experience drafting briefs and pleadings.Experience leading and defending depositions.Minimum of 4 years admitted and practicing as an Attorney in NY in a defense firm, labor law is a plus but not required.
