The Department of Health Informatics at Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Generative AI (GenAI) Product Owner to lead the development and deployment of enterprise-scale AI solutions that enhance patient care, accelerate research, and improve operational efficiency.As the GenAI Product Owner, you will drive the full lifecycle of generative AI products—from identifying high-value use cases to working with engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and clinically impactful solutions. You'll serve as the bridge between technical teams and stakeholders across clinical, research, and administrative domains, ensuring that our solutions meet real-world needs and deliver measurable value.Why Moffitt?Be part of a nationally recognized, NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in vibrant Tampa, Florida.Collaborate with world-class experts in a culture that values innovation, diversity, and excellence.Enjoy a dynamic work environment where your ideas are heard and your contributions matter.What You'll Do:Shape and execute the roadmap for GenAI products, from concept to deployment.Champion best practices and measure the value of AI solutions across the organization.Foster collaboration between technical teams and end users to maximize adoption and impact.Own and execute the GenAI product roadmap, including opportunity assessment, feature definition, release planning, and prioritization.Drive adoption of GenAI capabilities such as prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), multimodal models, and domain-aligned LLMs.Collaborate closely with technical, data science, clinical informatics, and operational teams to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with organizational strategy.Champion responsible AI practices including data governance, bias monitoring, safety guardrails, and integration with secure cloud environments.The Ideal Candidate:Hands-on experience with Generative AI, including prompt engineering, LLM fine-tuning, and RAG system design.Proven track record delivering AI-driven products, such as chatbots, assistants, or workflow automation tools.Technical familiarity with cloud AI/ML platforms, such as Azure AI Studio, OpenAI APIs, AWS Bedrock, or Snowflake Cortex.Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable requirements for multidisciplinary teams.Experience operating within agile product development frameworks.Working knowledge of healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7), data privacy, HIPAA, PHI handling, and integration into clinical workflows.Excellent communicator and collaborator with a passion for driving responsible AI adoption in healthcare.Credentials and Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science or Analytics is required. Master's Degree preferred.Seven (7) years of experience as a Software Developer, Systems Analyst, Cloud Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, AI Engineer, or Data Scientist working on GenAI products or platformsThe following certifications are preferred: PMI Certified Agile Certified Practitioner (PMIACP), Scrum Master Certified (SMC), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)Moffitt Cancer Center is an NCI-designated comprehensive Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida.
