Power BI Architect RemoteThis resource will be responsible configuring/maintaining/documenting Power BI workspace and administration controls using industry best practices. This position needs to have a deep understanding of Power BI Administration, Workspace Administration, Gateway configurations and Azure App Registration.Job Duties/Responsibilities: Hands on development of Power BI apps/reports, data sets and dashboardsOversee the deployment of related Azure SQL functions, D365 data entities and data connectorsOversee management of app/reporting requirements, development and deployment (CICD)Assist in integrating Azure SQL data warehouses to Power Apps and LogicAppsHelp to develop and socialize global Power Platform standards and practicesAssist Cloud, Active Directory and Office 365 teams in managing tenant-level settingsPerform administrative functions to ensure proper global settings configuration and provision organizational resources in all aspects of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Cloud Service.Monitor server activity/usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements.Architect and build the Power BI platform including Capacity Creation and Management, Deployment Pipeline creation, Data Connection creation and update, User and Group access provisioning, Power BI Gateway (Installation, Configuration, setup and design, security, configuration updates), Power BI Dashboard (development, maintenance, bugfix, enhancement, performance optimization).Work with business teams to implement best practices for managing user and group permissions, workbooks and projects, database views, data sources and data connections.Contribute significantly to capacity planning activities and knowledge supporting similar products at the enterprise level.Develop and document standards/best practices for development and administration of the Power BI platform.Assist in development of workbooks and dashboards to support business initiatives.Work closely with cybersecurity to maintain a hardened Power BI environment.Qualifications/Experience: 3-5 years of experience with Power BI and related technologies2 years of experience with Azure SQL data warehousesDemonstrated success in developing and deploying enterprise-level solutionsStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsExcellent analytical and communication skillsExperience in designing and developing reporting and advanced analytics solutionsFamiliarity with data integration (ETL) solutions and logical data modelingPreferred (in addition to above): Experience with Microsoft DynamicsWorking knowledge and/or experience with Power Apps and LogicAppsOther Certifications in the Microsoft stackFamiliarity with Master Data Management, Metadata Management, Data Governance, Data Strategies and Assessments
