Texas Licensed HIM Coder

A company is looking for a HIM Coder Sr Coding HB MFH. Key Responsibilities Assign codes for diagnoses, treatments, and procedures according to ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines Extract and abstract required information from source documentation into electronic medical record systems Collaborate with HIM and Clinical Documentation Specialists to ensure accurate physician documentation Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent experience required Completion of an Accredited Baccalaureate Health Informatics or Health Information Management program preferred 3-5 years of inpatient coding experience in an acute care setting preferred At least one certification required (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCA from AHIMA)
