The Position- FULL TIME- MON-FRI(7:00 AM-4:00 PM)- Saturdays (TBD)Principal Duties/ Major Responsibilities:Prepares machine for the start of production and oversees daily operation in compliance with safe operating procedures.Follow all required work safe practices.This would include wearing all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, fall restraints, etc.Adhere to food safety and all quality requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer, and SQF requirements and assist in all internal/external auditsStage and weigh ingredients to be processedProcess ingredientsSafely operate process equipment machinerySafely operate a forkliftDocument stages of processingPerform daily equipment checksRequirements/Qualifications:Reliable transportationBe able to lift at least 50 lbs. regularlyDemonstrated ability to work in teamsReliable, predictable attendance is requiredEmployee must have the ability to climb stairs and be on their feet for long periods of time.Must have a practical working knowledge of basic arithmetic functions (multiplication, division, addition, subtraction).Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe mannerHACCP certification and/or ServSafe Training a plus.WORKING CONDITIONSCandidates must be accustomed to working in a manufacturing plant with varying temperatures. This position is subject to noise from machinery. It will require varying degrees of personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots, earplugs, gloves, lab coats, masks, and safety glasses or goggles.
