Senior Structural Engineer
Overview
In this role you will develop structural engineering solutions for buildings and load-bearing structures under supervision. You collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to produce design deliverables and ensure alignment with construction needs. You will perform calculations, modelling, and coordinate structural work with other disciplines, mentors for junior staff, and contribute to office standards. This position offers impact in semiconductor facility projects, combining design, analysis, and field observations to drive reliable construction outcomes.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with other disciplines and contractors to develop design deliverables such as drawings and specificationsReview shop drawings and submittals to understand how design and construction inter-relateAttend construction and design verification walks and submit observation reportsPrepare structural engineering calculations and finite element modelling under supervisionLead the development of design deliverables such as reports and Construction Documents, including drawings and specificationsAnalyze and design basic structural components of a building or other structureCoordinate structural models and drawings with other design disciplinesMentor interns and junior project team membersParticipate in development of office standards and proceduresOther duties as assigned
Key requirementsBachelor’s in EngineeringMaster’s Degree preferredPE or SE license preferredNCEES Record preferred6+ years of experiencePrior experience in semiconductors and microelectronic facilitiesExperience with Design-BuildExperience with RAM, STAAD, Tedds and EnercalcAutodesk Building Systems Software knowledgeExperience as a consulting engineerStrong written and verbal communicationProfessional demeanor and diplomacyProactive problem-solvingRAMSTAADTedds
