Job Description / Role and ResponsibilitiesJoin a premier industrial automation team to design and integrate custom control systems for advanced material handling and conveyor solutions. As a Controls Project Engineer, you will manage the full project lifecycle from initial definition through manufacturing, shop testing, and final site commissioning. You will collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver high-performance systems that optimize modern manufacturing processes.Execute full-cycle project management for custom control systems, ensuring all hardware and software meet customer acceptance criteria and timelines.Develop complex programming from scratch for PLCs, Servos, and HMIs to drive high-speed conveyor devices.Collaborate with Project Managers and Mechanical Engineers to define project scope and document technical changes throughout the development phase.Coordinate with electrical assembly teams to provide direction on sensor mounting, cable routing, and control device placement.Lead equipment start-ups, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and on-site integration at client facilities.Design or modify electrical schematics and BOMs (Bills of Materials) using AutoCAD Electrical to support system construction.Support the sales and estimating teams by providing technical scope definitions and labor/material estimates for new projects.RequirementsRequirementsDegree: Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automated Systems, or a related technical field.Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on experience in the design, programming, and implementation of industrial control systems.PLC/HMI Software: Proficiency in Rockwell Studio 5000, ControlLogix, GuardLogix, and FactoryTalk View ME/SE.Motion Control: Proven experience with Kinetix motion controllers, servo drives, and standard AC/DC drives.Design Tools: Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical for schematic generation is highly preferred.Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with MDR (Motorized Drive Roller) conveying systems and material handling standards is a plus.Travel: Ability to travel approximately 15%-20% for on-site startup assistance and customer support.BenefitsBenefits / Why Join UsCollaborative Culture: We emphasize a "Team First" approach to problem-solving and innovation, ensuring you have the support of senior engineering leadership.Project Ownership: Manage diverse projects from the "blank page" stage through to physical implementation, offering high visibility and professional growth.Innovative Environment: Work with cutting-edge Rockwell automation technology in a fast-paced R&D and production atmosphere.Professional Advancement: Opportunity to participate in R&D teams and influence the next generation of automation products.
