The estimated start date is April 7. However, if Mother Nature allows, we may start earlier. Working as part of a team of gardeners you will prepare planted beds for the season in the spring - weeding, pruning, raking, composting and mulching. As the garden season progresses you will be maintaining those beds -keeping them in top shape for the remainder of the season. Maintenance will be interspersed with installations of Stem and Petal designs which will involved assisting with the transport, placement and planting of plant materials, rocks, dirt and mulch. In the fall you will perform fall cut back and clean-up tasks. POSITIONS OPEN We are hiring a number of gardeners 24-45 hours a week Monday- Friday for the spring and early summer season April-June/July and one part-time gardener who can commit to finishing the 2025 season with us (about November 25th). QUALIFICATIONS We prefer experienced gardeners. However, training will be provided to everyone. We are a fine gardening company with a large spring client list and a short spring season. The ability to work with speed and efficency while not foregoing attention to detail is necessary. Garden applicants must be able and willing to get up and down from the knees many times a day, to haul/drag wheelbarrows and tarps of mulch, compost and stone, to perform repetitive tasks with the hands and to do all this in all kinds of weather. It’s a hard job but satisfying- we create beautiful things. Applicants MUST have reliable transportation to get to and from job sites and a phone for communicating about job site locations and last minute scheduling changes. In return we try to offer competitive wages and as much job flexibility as we can.
