Line Cook

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards while ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. The best candidates will have experience in a scratch kitchen environment. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during peak hours. Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal offerings. Handle food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring proper maintenance. Follow portion control guidelines to minimize waste while maintaining quality. Assist with inventory deliveries, control, organization and ensure proper rotations FIFO etc. Participate in catering events as needed, providing exceptional service to guests. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred; scratch kitchen experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is advantageous. Familiarity with menu planning and catering services is beneficial. A passion for cooking and commitment to delivering high-quality meals.
