Senior Electrical Engineer – Generator Systems / Packaged PowerA rapidly growing power systems and engineered equipment business is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer to support the expansion of its packaged generator and enclosure capabilities across industrial, mission-critical and data center applications.This is a senior technical leadership position for someone capable of owning the complete electrical architecture of packaged generator systems — from design and interface engineering through commissioning and field troubleshooting.The role is ideal for an engineer who combines strong power systems knowledge with real-world genset integration and startup experience.Key ResponsibilitiesLead electrical design and technical execution for packaged generator systems and custom power solutionsReview and approve one-lines, schematics, interconnection drawings, termination packages and electrical deliverablesDefine interfaces between engines, alternators, controllers, switchgear, auxiliaries and customer systemsSupport FAT, SAT, startup and live troubleshooting activitiesWork directly with customers, OEMs, electricians and field teams on technical executionEstablish scalable design standards and reusable electrical packagesInterpret NEC / NFPA requirements relevant to standby and emergency power systemsSupport procurement and specification of electrical equipment and componentsBackground RequiredBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required5–10+ years of experience in generator systems, packaged power, switchgear, mission-critical backup power or industrial power systemsStrong experience with generator controls, field wiring, protection schemes and electrical integrationExperience with CAT EMCP, Woodward, ComAp, Deep Sea or similar controller platforms preferredPrior experience with generator OEMs, packagers, EPC firms or mission-critical environments strongly preferredPE license highly preferred (Texas strongly advantageous)Ideal ProfileStrong systems thinker capable of owning technical decisions independentlyComfortable interfacing directly with clients and senior stakeholdersHands-on commissioning and troubleshooting mindsetHigh accountability and ownership mentalityTeam-oriented, practical and execution-focusedWhy This Role?Opportunity to help shape and scale a growing engineered power systems platformExposure to large-scale industrial and data center projectsHigh-impact technical leadership role with significant autonomyStrong long-term growth opportunity within a rapidly evolving marketLocation: HoustonFor a confidential discussion, please apply directly or message privately.
