They participate more actively in site walks, client discussions, and early-stage sales qualification. This role is focused on developing autonomy, building client communication skills, and gaining confidence in scope development and pricing strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently review plans/specs to identify scope gaps, risks, and needed clarificationsDevelop cost estimates and scope narratives with moderate oversightPerform site walks and begin leading portions of the discussionCommunicate directly with clients regarding bid questions, scope details, and schedulingPrepare complete proposals, including scope language, pricing, alternates, and assumptionsManage CRM entries for assigned opportunities, including forecasting and follow-up trackingSolicit, compare, and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotes with minimal supervisionSupport turnover meetings by presenting scope assumptions and risksBuild early-stage relationships with contractors, vendors, and facility staffAssist senior BD staff with account development planningReview bid lists and sales publications to identify potential opportunitiesCoordinate with FES personnel familiar with existing sites as required to gather information on existing systemsCore ExpectationsTechnical Understanding: Solid working understanding of BAS/HVAC systems and ability to interpret plans/specs independentlyScope Development: Writes clear, executable scope narratives with minimal corrections requiredClient Interaction: Can communicate proactively and professionally with clients, vendors, and engineersProposal Ownership: Takes ownership of proposal completeness, formatting, and accuracyPipeline Contribution: Maintains accurate CRM and forecast data for assigned opportunitiesProblem Solving: Identifies missing info, risks, and inconsistencies early and recommends solutionsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceHealth & Dental Insurance – CareFirst Blue Advantage (FES contributes 50%; individual or family plan)401(k) with company match up to 4% after 6 monthsVision Insurance – employee paidShort- & Long-Term Disability Insurance – employee paidPTO and paid holidays
