Formulation TechnicianThe Formulation Technician plays a crucial role in our Formulation department, primarily focusing on the operational aspects rather than lab-based formulation. The position involves handling high-speed equipment for the production of BacT/ALERT bottles and the preparation, staging, and weighing of raw materials used in liquid reagent formulation. The role demands adherence to cGMP standards and involves heavy lifting and routine use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Key Responsibilities:Production:Operate high-speed manufacturing equipment, including highly automated systems, utilizing HMI/SCADA interfaces.Perform chemical weighing and reagent formulation for BacT/ALERT bottle production.Execute production activities following approved Manufacturing Directions while ensuring compliance with SOPs.Quality:Ensure accurate and timely completion of all batch paperwork.Document all processes and procedures meticulously, maintaining compliance with company and regulatory agency regulations.Assist in the review and revision of Manufacturing Directions and SOPs.Safety:Strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures.Proper use of PPE as required for routine and non-routine duties.Other Duties:Generate and interpret reports, charts, and KPIs to identify and address issues.Assist in executing validation protocols for manufacturing/packaging equipment and procedures.Perform computer applications and other duties as assigned by Management.Qualifications:Experience:0-1 years of experience in a regulated production/operations environment.Experience in weighing/staging of raw materials for large-scale production preferred.Skills:Certification in Bioworks Program preferred.Background in bulking and/or compounding in relevant industries such as food, supplement, cosmetic, medical device, or pharmaceutical chemical formulation desired.Familiarity with measurement scales, mixing, blending, and chemical mills.Knowledge of OSHA and FDA/GMP regulations preferred.Mechanical background advantageous.Ability to quickly learn and apply new procedures, demonstrating competency within a defined period.Additional Requirements:Ability to climb stairs and lift heavy items routinely (50-75 lbs).Comfortable standing for extended periods (8-12 hours) and operating motorized pallet jacks.May handle chemicals, antibiotics, or hazardous materials and work in areas with strong odors.Must adhere to PPE guidelines, including restrictions on makeup and jewelry in certain areas.Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime to support a 24/7 production operation.Application Information:Temporary position, accepting Citizen or Green Card holders only.No relocation available.
