Patient Care Coordinator
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team at Comber Physical Therapy & Fusion Chiropractic. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a seamless experience for our patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical settings and possess strong administrative skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Warm Welcome: Greet and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
Patient Coordination: Guide patients through their care journey from initial appointment to discharge, collaborating with clinical staff to facilitate care.
Administrative Tasks: Manage front desk responsibilities, including scheduling appointments, insurance verifications, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Patient Interaction: Handle inquiries via phone and email promptly, providing excellent customer service and clear instructions regarding paperwork and wait times.
Waiting Area Management: Ensure the reception area is tidy and stocked with patient resources.
Patient Flow: Maintain effective patient flow and manage clinic schedules to optimize efficiency.
Payment Processing: Collect payments in accordance with insurance policies and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support clinic operations.
Qualifications:
Positive “can do” attitude with a commitment to excellent patient service.
Strong attention to detail and effective interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to multitask and demonstrate maturity in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly with scheduling patients, is preferred but not required.
Proficiency with EMR systems is a plus.
8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday (no nights, no weekends).
Clinic hours are Monday to Thursday from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM and Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Patient Care Coordinators typically start at 6:45 AM for the opening shift.
Must be able to work both opening and closing shifts, as shifts are split among the team.
