Grounds Person - SEASONAL

Ground Person Job Description:As a Ground Person, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and landscaping of the resort to ensure a beautiful and inviting environment for our guests. This is a seasonal position starting in mid May and ending mid September.Responsibilities:• Perform all necessary landscaping duties, including mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, planting flowers, and watering plants• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of outdoor areas, including sweeping sidewalks and picking up litter• Assist in the maintenance of irrigation systems and repair any malfunctions• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers• Keep inventory of supplies and notify management when replacements are needed• Help with the setup and breakdown of outdoor events and functions• Communicate any issues or concerns regarding the grounds to management in a timely manner• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear while performing tasks• Other duties as assignedRequirements:• High school diploma or equivalent• 1-2 years of experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance preferred• Knowledge of gardening and landscaping techniques• Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment• Physically able to perform outdoor work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed• Must have a valid driver's licenseIn accordance with New Jersey State Legislature (New Jersey Legislature Bill S2310 Sca (1R)) which requires private employers with ten (10) or more employees to include a range of pay for all advertised jobs, promotion, or transfer opportunities.
