Position Summary: The Gift and Database Specialist plays a critical role in advancing the philanthropic mission of the School by ensuring the accurate processing of charitable contributions and maintaining the integrity of the Advancement database. The right candidate will join a dynamic and supportive team dedicated to each individual's growth and development at an exciting time when the School is embarking on a comprehensive capital campaign.
What You Will Do:
Accurately process all charitable contributions, including cash, checks, credit cards, pledges, in-kind gifts, and matching gifts in Raiser's Edge/NXT.
Generate and distribute timely, tax-compliant gift receipts and acknowledgement letters in accordance with IRS regulations and School policies.
Maintain complete and accurate donor and constituent records; proactively update records and assist with database clean-up and data integrity projects.
Ensure proper documentation and coding for all gifts, including restricted funds and campaign designations.
Reconcile gifts recorded in Raiser's Edge with the Business Office on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Support fiscal year-end and close processes and annual audit preparation.
Respond promptly and professionally to donor inquiries regarding gift history, receipts, and account details.
Provide administrative and logistical support for fundraising initiatives, annual giving efforts, capital campaigns, and advancement and alumni relations events.
Collaborate closely with the Director of Advancement Services and Associate Director of Advancement Services to provide database support that enables the Advancement team's success.
Required Experience and Skills:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Proficiency with donor database systems, Blackbaud Raiser's Edge/NXT preferred.
Experience in an independent school or higher education setting is strongly preferred.
Strong Excel skills, including reporting and data analysis.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
Strong organizational and project management skills.

For this role, we offer a competitive pay range of $55,000 to $63,000, based on experience and qualifications.
