From advanced site characterization to regulatory-driven design and forensic support, your leadership will elevate project outcomes. Your ability to build client trust and identify growth opportunities will be instrumental in expanding our market presence, and as a key contributor, you will also help shape the careers of emerging talent within the Geotechnical team.The most qualified individual will demonstrate the ability to drive projects from the earliest stages through final implementation. They will have an entrepreneurial perspective and will engage effectively and professionally with clients, regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and colleagues, while championing Verdantas’ vision of blending inclusivity, innovation, collaboration, and sustainability.Step into a leadership role where your decisions drive results, your expertise sets the standard, and your influence shapes New England’s most innovative Geotechnical initiatives.What You'll DoManage diverse projects involving multidisciplinary teams to promote high-quality delivery while meeting project schedule and budget metricsMaintain and grow existing client relationships and seek opportunities to develop new relationshipsSupport and/or lead business development efforts, including major pursuits, strategic partnerships, and key account expansionAttend meetings with clients, municipal and state officials, other engineers and consultants, developers, and contractorsLead or assist in the development of strategies, the scope of work, the evaluation of risk, and the budget for a variety of projectsSupervise and provide work assignments to internal project teams and subcontractorsPerformed technical, administrative, and compliance peer reviews for a variety of engineering analyses, documents, and design deliverablesInteract with regulatory agencies as a client advocate during pre-application meetings and formal permitting, knowing what information to provide and with appropriate internal or client directivesManage and perform technical engineering work associated with land or site development, including site planning and layout, access design, design of stormwater management, utility conveyance, identification of erosion and sediment control practices, and implementation of sustainability practicesPrepare construction plans for agency/municipal review, along with completion and submission of various land development permit application packagesMentor aspiring engineers and techniciansWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering; Master's degree preferred20 or more years of geotechnical and/or site civil engineering and construction review experience, with at least 8 years in Project ManagementProfessional Engineer license in at least one New England state, with the potential for reciprocity in othersProject Management Certification preferredDesign experience in both geotechnical and site civil concepts is preferredWillingness to travel to projects within New England and New York as needed (Salary RangeThe starting salary for this position is $140,000, with final compensation determined based on qualifications and licensing status.BenefitsFlexible Work Environment Paid Parental Leave Medical Dental Vision Life and AD&D Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off + HolidaysVerdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
