You must be able to translate "the numbers" into actionable information and insights.Our CFO's aren't merely oversight. We work with passionate entrepreneurs and growing businesses that are looking for someone to dig in. The AVL team makes a direct impact by being hands on and involved in every financial process in order to accomplish goals and generate success. This person will be expected to do the same while working on small teams to generate big results.Necessary experience and duties you would be expected to perform:Build financial modelsAssist clients with strategic planning and growthBuild a robust and scalable accounting operations system alongside our accountants and controllers that produces accurate and timely financials with auditable internal controlsMust understand detailed accounting principles and processesProvide forward looking forecasting and financial analysisManage Board of Directors meetings and executive reportingLead and guide clients through the action of raising capital, including developing and presenting investor decksProvide / Lead other strategic advice (M&A, licensing, equity, etc.)Minimum of 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership rolesVery beneficial to also have experience in the following areas: Prior CFO experience with at least two companiesPrior CFO experience with at least 2 industry areasDemonstrated experience working with investor/venture companies or start-upsStrong Accounting background, CPA (Active or Inactive) a plusExperience in partnering with executive teams, with superb written and oral communication skillsPrior work and understanding of consulting businesses is a plusExperience working with multiple P&LsExperience leading and developing teamsTraits that support being successful in our client-facing environment: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high priority engagements simultaneouslyStrong communication and high emotional intelligence - ability to navigate varied relationshipsResourcefulness and willingness to learn and gain new informationComfortable working both independently and with a teamAdaptable to change and comfortable with ambiguityLoves a good challenge and will naturally thrive in a changing environmentAbility to create order and efficient processes from disarrayHave a strong business acumen and can understand the big picturePerks and benefits of working at AVL: Paid Wellness LeaveMedical, Dental, Vision, HSA Match, Disability & Life Insurance401K Option with matchFreedom and flexibility of an "independently together" work culture where our team has flexibility in their day to day while occasionally coming together for fun team meetings and social gatheringsGrowth and exposure to working with the best and brightest peers and clients in the industryCompensationCompensation for this position is based on experience and technical proficiency.AVL offers optionality with the number of hours worked weekly (Looking for desired hours between 25-35 hours/week)The hourly base pay rate is between $120.00-$140.00 per hour - $249,600 - $291,000 (based on 40hr/wk) with the eligibility for an annual bonus incentive in addition to base pay.
