We are committed to high quality service, strategic thinking, and building lasting relationships founded on trust.Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our litigation team and help represent individuals injured through negligence, workplace incidents, catastrophic events, and exposure-related claims. The Associate will manage a caseload of personal injury, workers' compensation, wrongful death, mesothelioma/asbestos, motor vehicle, premises liability, and related employment-discrimination matters, working closely with senior attorneys to pursue timely, client-focused outcomes through rigorous investigation, negotiation, and litigation.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of personal injury, workers' compensation, wrongful death, mesothelioma/asbestos, motor vehicle, premises liability, and employment discrimination matters from intake through resolution.Conduct factual and legal investigation, including obtaining and reviewing medical records, accident reports, employment and exposure histories, and other relevant evidence.Draft and file pleadings, complaints, motions, discovery requests/responses, demands, settlement agreements, and other litigation documents.Prepare for and take depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and pre-trial conferences; assist in trial preparation and participate in trials as needed.Work with experts (medical, economic, vocational, forensic) to develop case theory, evaluate injuries (including brain injuries and catastrophic harm), and prepare expert reports and testimony.Counsel and communicate regularly with clients, adjust expectations, explain legal strategy, provide status updates, and support clients through the litigation process with empathy and professionalism.Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers to achieve optimal results while protecting client interests.Conduct legal research and draft memoranda to support motions and litigation strategy; stay current on case law and statutory changes affecting personal injury and employment claims.Maintain organized case files, adhere to firm and ethical standards, meet billing and docketing requirements, and collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case progression.Assist senior attorneys with complex litigation tasks, strategy development, trial exhibits, and appellate issues when necessary.QualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active membership in the state bar (or eligibility with plan to obtain bar admission).1-5 years of civil litigation experience preferred, with demonstrated handling of personal injury, workers' compensation, wrongful death, or related tort matters; candidates with mesothelioma/asbestos, catastrophic injury, or employment-discrimination experience highly valued.Proven courtroom and deposition experience, including motion practice, hearings, mediations, and trial exposure preferred.Strong legal research, analytic, and writing skills; ability to draft persuasive pleadings, motions, and settlement demands.Experience reading and interpreting complex medical records and working with medical experts on catastrophic and brain injury cases.Excellent client communication skills, compassion for injured clients, and ability to manage a varied caseload with attention to detail and deadlines.Proven negotiation skills and familiarity with insurance carrier practices and settlement strategies.High ethical standards, professionalism, strong organizational and time-management abilities, and proficiency with litigation software, document management, and common office productivity tools.Valid drivers license and willingness to travel locally for depositions, court appearances, and client meetings as required.BenefitsCompetitive compensation (DOE): $100k to $150k + incentivesPerformance-based bonusesMedical/Dental/VisionHybrid flexibility401kProfit sharingPaid time offAuto insuranceGasoline reimbursementReferral bonusLife insuranceLong-term disability...and more!!
