For their rapidly growing DC Metro office located in the strategic Fulton, MD corridor, they have retained Global Recruiters of Buckhead to identify an elite Senior Electrical Engineer capable of blending technical mastery with strategic business development.The Opportunity & ImpactAs a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will transition out of rigid corporate isolation and step into an autonomous, client-facing leadership role. You will serve as a key technical authority and a primary bridge to architects, owners, and general contractors. This role provides a distinct runway to shape the local office culture, mentor a dedicated team of rising engineering professionals, and collaborate closely with business development teams to secure premier contracts across the Mid-Atlantic region.Core ResponsibilitiesSystem Design & Software Modeling: Lead the comprehensive design and specification of complex electrical power distribution systems utilizing SKM, ETAP, or similar modeling software.Project & Financial Management: Direct and design multiple concurrent projects, maintaining strict control over engineering budgets, resource allocations, and delivery schedules.Commercial & Proposal Leadership: Partner with business development teams to generate technical fee proposals, write qualifications-based bids, and proactively engage in client pursuit activities.Team Mentorship & Review: Serve as the lead engineer on multidisciplinary project teams, guiding junior staff and enforcing quality control through rigorous technical drawing reviews.Client Consultation: Act as a trusted advisor to external stakeholders, navigating local energy and building codes (NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC) seamlessly.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering is strictly required.Experience: 10 to 15 years of progressive experience within an MEP consulting engineering environment.Industry Focus: A documented portfolio highlighting design success within complex power sectors, specifically Industrial, Federal/DoD, Healthcare, or Higher Education projects.Technical Tools: Full proficiency with design production software, specifically AutoCAD and Revit.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) regulations and deep professional relationships within the Washington, DC/Baltimore engineering ecosystem.Active involvement in local professional industry organizations (e.g., IEEE, IES).Functional design familiarity with adjacent building systems, including lighting, telecom, A/V, or cybersecurity.What’s in It for You (Compensation & Benefits)Our Client believes that elite talent should be compensated transparently for their contributions.
