Facility Maintenance Technician
**Job Overview** We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various facilities equipment, including HVAC/R systems, electrical and mechanical systems, and other industrial equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles, as well as experience with industrial electrician tasks. The successful candidate will be committed to providing excellent customer service and ensuring the overall functionality and safety of our facilities. **Duties** - Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC/R systems, electrical systems, and other industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. - Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and systems, using precision measuring instruments to identify problems. - Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime. - Operate heavy equipment such as scissor lifts to access and repair equipment in high places. - Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines. - Collaborate with other facilities staff to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations. - Provide exceptional customer service to building occupants and management. - Maintain a strong understanding of logic controllers and other control systems. - Maintain and militarize equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards. - Develop and implement plans to improve facilities maintenance and operations. **Qualifications** - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as electrical or mechanical technology, is preferred. - Must have a valid industrial electrician certification. - Must have experience with HVAC/R systems, electrical systems, and industrial equipment. - Proven experience in facilities maintenance and repair. - Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles. - Excellent customer service skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. - Physical stamina to lift and move heavy equipment and materials. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
