Our Data Engineers know how to use the latest technology to design, evaluate, debug and manage the data that leads to better decisions, maximum value, and higher customer satisfaction.Let's build on what you know.If you have proficiency and experience with crafting, developing, trouble shooting, debugging, evaluating, modifying, deploying and documenting data components (data architecture, logical and physical data models, database objects and database administration) that meet the needs of customer-facing applications, business applications, and/or internal end user applications, let's find business advantages hiding in plain sight. Here's just some of what you'll do:Design and build a robust data model architecture to support optimal data processing and standardized metric definitionsReview data requirements / data stories and corresponding data sources and data architectureDocument data requirements / data stories and maintain data models to ensure seamless integration into existing data architecturesCreate and maintain detailed information about the data being storedSupport management of data assets as per enterprise standards, guidelines and policiesReview and understand processing requirements inclusive of data and transaction volumes, scalability, security and performance requirementsAssist in building and improving the database design and infrastructure required to support the Technology Infrastructure portfolioCommunicate and work closely with business and product teams to support changes and implementationDesign, develop, and maintain reports, processes and KPIs to drive business decisionsFunction as an active member of an agile team through consistent development practices (tools, components, and documentation)Find opportunities to adopt innovative technologiesTake part in reviews of individual or team contributionsWork on prioritized/assigned features for ongoing sprintsCommunicate and work reciprocally with business and product teams to support changes and implementationAre you up for the challenge? Here's what you should have:Minimum Qualifications4 years of data architecture and MS SQL database experience in a professional environmentExpertise in an analytical language (Python, R or the equivalent) preferred; knowledge of SAS is a plus but not required.Demonstrable business report creation experience utilizing various reporting tools (e.g.: MS SQL Reporting Services, Tableau, Informatica, Cognos, Microstrategy, PowerBI, etc.)Experience with hands-on design and development across one or more database management systemsExperience with distributed systems, algorithms and applicationsStrong understanding of infrastructure data and data managementExperience with ServiceNow data and associated data modelHands-on expertise with distributed (multi-tiered) systems and relational database design, development, troubleshooting and automated testingStrong analytical skills with demonstrable ability to understand and document business data requirementsTechnical knowledge of DBMS products and ecosystem: storage formats, access algorithms, data management processes, administration, data maintenance, replication, high availability, encryption, etc.Proficiency with data structures and associated componentsBasic understanding of Metadata Management and Database ManagementProficiency with and ability to document business data requirements in complete, accurate, extensible and flexible logical data models using data modeling toolsProficiency with creating basic data models using the relevant tools and frameworksBasic understanding of XML and schema development/reuse, database concepts, database designProficiency with industry recognized methods, processes and standardsFamiliarity with enterprise infrastructure technologies and components (e.g.; compute, storage, JVMs, containers, networking fundamentals)Minimum QualificationsSalary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
