Provide expert speech-language pathology services in a dynamic healthcare setting focusing primarily on outpatient care with some acute responsibilities. The area is ideal for those seeking a balanced lifestyle with the charm of small-town living and proximity to larger cities for occasional urban amenities.Responsibilities:Deliver speech-language pathology evaluations and treatments in outpatient and acute care settingsManage outpatient caseloads with approximately 70% pediatric and 30% adult patientsConduct VFSS proficiently to assess and treat swallowing disorders in adult acute care patientsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized patient care plansRespond to NPO orders during designated on-call weekends (every third weekend, Saturday and Sunday 8 am-12 pm)Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and progressDesired Experience & Qualifications:Current and valid NC Speech Language Pathology licenseSkilled in pediatric and adult speech therapy, especially in outpatient environmentsProficient in performing and interpreting VFSS studiesAbility to work independently with varied caseloads and under minimal supervisionCommitment to high-quality patient care and effective communication with healthcare teamsSchedule:40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pmOn-call every third weekend for acute care NPO orders (Saturday and Sunday, 8 am-12 pm)Guaranteed minimum of 36 hours weekly, typically 40 hoursAdditional Details:Contract position for 13 weeksNavy scrubs requiredCandidates located within an 80-mile radius may be considered after screening
