An opening position is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide vital support services within two San Antonio, TX schools. This contracted, on-site role focuses on delivering speech therapy sessions to students at both the high school and middle school levels, with an emphasis on quality care and student progress.Key Responsibilities:Work directly with students in grades 6-12 to implement speech-language therapy plans.Provide services 3 days per week at the high school and 2 days per week at the middle school.Manage a caseload of approximately 110 students, prioritizing individual therapy minutes based on need.Collaborate with school staff to support bilingual (Spanish/English) and monolingual students; bilingual proficiency preferred but not required.Complete district-mandated paperwork and credentialing protocols after hiring.Maintain active Texas SLPA licensure and adhere to all regulatory requirements.Qualifications:Active Texas SLPA license required.Experience working in school settings preferred.Spanish bilingual skills are a strong asset but not mandatory.Ability to manage multiple student cases effectively.Strong communication skills to coordinate with educators and families.Location:On-site position at two assigned schools in San Antonio, Texas:Highlands High School: Grades 9-12Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Middle School: Grades 6-9The role offers a structured schedule with a consistent 40-hour workweek and the opportunity to impact student development positively.
