Assistant Superintendent
JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Assistant Superintendent is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all aspects of the field operations to effectively execute energy construction projects. Oversees and assists in development of procedures to increase effectiveness on overall division and estimated job profits. Leads development of division – defines and/or redefines roles, responsibilities, goals, and performance management for field management. Manages general foremen, and assigned trade personnel. Ensures customer satisfaction, quality, and proactive improvement. Enhances internal communication of entire division and organization including other departments within the company. Participates in weekly meetings to inform management of issues and progress. Works with human resources and safety as needed on personnel and training issues. Coordinates with purchasing to maintain material levels and ensures orders are placed when necessary. Reviews projects, controlling job cost and ensuring job profitability. Ensures general foreman are reviewing submittals for accuracy. Oversees department’s turnover process for project sold from the estimating department. Works with estimating to fit the established sales goals of sales works in conjunction with the field workforce and organization. Provides continued development of customer relationships. Ensures all company policies are enforced, followed, and any discrepancies reported. Provides timely input and maintains long term labor forecasts. Provides line-item productivity feedback to the estimating department to keep our means and methods in line with how estimating factors cost. Ensures all internal procedures and policies are being utilized and followed.
