A nonprofit services organization in New York City is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their team in Brooklyn as their new Director of Social Services for a women's shelter.About the Opportunity:Schedule: Monday to FridayHours: 9am to 5pm (35-hour per week; 1-hour unpaid lunch)Setting: ShelterResident Population: Adult WomenResponsibilities:Oversee all case management services and staffEnsure compliance with DHS standards and program requirementsMonitor client progress, housing placements, and documentationSupervise team performance and conduct regular reviewsRespond to crises and support high-risk casesQualifications:2+ years of relevant work experienceHigh School Diploma / GEDSupervisory experience in Shelters and/or Social ServicesStrong knowledge of DHS Processes and Housing PlacementsMicrosoft Office proficientSolid assessment and documentation skillsDesired Qualifications:Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling/Guidance, or Art TherapyRelevant license required if holding a clinical Master's (LMSW/LCSW/LMHC)CPR/First Aid certificationBilingual
