Additionally, pharmacists supervise all technicians and support staff and assuring medications are delivered to the patient in a safe, accurate and timely fashion.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately review, verify, and dispense prescription medicationsProvide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and interactionsMaintain complete and accurate patient profiles in pharmacy systemsReview prescriptions for clinical appropriateness and safetyOversee pharmacy technicians and support staff, including workflow delegation and accuracy checksResolve insurance processing issues and communicate with medical professionalsMonitor inventory, order medications, manage controlled substances, and ensure proper medication storage and handlingMaintain compliance with state/federal pharmacy laws and company policiesEnsure patient confidentiality and HIPAA complianceParticipate in the clinical services program including administering immunizationsPromote health and wellness services and provide medication therapy supportParticipate in rotating on-call schedule for after-hours consultation, emergency dispensing, or store support needsMust be available during scheduled on-call hours for phone consultations or urgent pharmacy needs including delivery of medication to patientsQualificationsDoctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's in PharmacyActive state pharmacist license in good standingImmunization certificationStrong clinical judgment and attention to detailExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to manage a fast-paced retail environmentPrior retail pharmacy experience preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, bend and twist for extended periods (minimum 4 hours)Able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs and up to 50 lbs as neededAbility to work on a screen for entire shift as frequent computer work and data entry required
