Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various CNC machines to produce parts from EPS foam. Your expertise will ensure that production of said parts runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely while adhering to strict quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with Hot-wire cutting machines and 5-axis router machinery to contribute to a quality manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Set up CNC machines such as CNC Hot wire cutters, manual hot wire cutters, and 5 axis routers, according to technical specifications and production requirements.
Very basic programing of CNC Hot wire cutters, and interpret CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and hand-made drawings to ensure accurate machining operations.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents to determine material usage, material size, machine setup, and quality standards.
Conduct precise measurements using Tape measures ( to the 1/16th Inch)
Troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime; perform routine maintenance and safety checks on CNC machinery.
Follow safety standards in production environments by adhering to OSHA regulations and company protocols; maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
Proven experience operating CNC machinery or similar industrial equipment within a manufacturing or factory setting.
Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages including Fanuc controls; familiarity with CAM programming tools is highly desirable.
Ability to read mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret manufacturing specifications accurately.
Mechanical aptitude with understanding of shop math, tooling setups, fabrication processes, and materials handling techniques.
Skilled in using precision measurement tools such as Tape measures to a 1/16th inch.
Experience with interpreting technical drawings.
Basic understanding of industrial equipment troubleshooting and machine operation safety standards.
Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is preferred.
Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
