CNC Set-Up Operator

Forge Resources Group, a leader in custom forgings, is looking for a CNC Setup Operator at our Dekalb, IL location. FRG produces steel solutions for a variety of industries through forging, hot forming, and fabrication. Key Responsibilities: Machine setup, start up, operation and tear down Secure all tooling, replace broken or worn tooling File, grind, and adjust parts to fit properly Diagnose operating difficulties and make adjustments Inspect dies for proper dimensions and defects Complete necessary job-related paperwork to include tags, inspection documents, and production log Maintain cleanliness, safety and quality standards Experience and Skills Required: · 3 years prior CNC Setup experience required · Must be able to read and use calipers and similar measurement tools Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints Experience in operating and setting up X, Y, Z on vertical mills required Must have basic shop math calculating ability (.01,.001,.0001) Possess basic understanding of cutting tools and their purposes Ability to use indicators to straighten parts/items Must work well in a team environment Ability to multitask Must be able to take direction Must be able to grasp and retain complex instructions Willingness to ask for clarification of instructions Reliability, punctuality, and attentiveness Attention to detail Forklift experience Education: · High School Diploma or GED required · Vocational or technical training required Physical Requirements: · Requires walking, standing, stooping, crouching, bending, twisting, pulling, pushing · Ability to lift up to 40lbs Forge Resources Group is a Drug Free Workplace.
