Manufacturing EngineerThe Test and Evaluation (BT&E) team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing team in Berkeley, MO. This role supports the fabrication planning and setup/installation by providing design review, manufacturing plan authorship, and fabrication sourcing. The position involves close collaboration with our in-house shop team, comprised of tooling and aircraft mechanics, to support our operations. The Structures Lab supports the full structural testing needs of the BDS Programs in St. Louis and St. Charles, including component tests up to full-scale aircraft testing.Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement2 or more years' experience in engineering design or manufacturing engineering2 or more years' experience working with manufacturing planning tools2 or more years' experience with a design tool (CAD package) like CATIA, Siemens NX, etc.Prior work experience at client or in client's industryApplicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceLevel 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceBachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical EngineeringExperience working with MESciExperience with Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Flight Configuration Changes (FC) or equivalent engineering request for changeExperience with redline creation, review, and coordination with design teamsFamiliarity with flight test worksheets and/or having worksheet authorityKnowledge/familiarity of procurement systems, like ePartsKnowledge of electrical (wire shop) fabrication capabilities and processesExperience supporting product testing either in the flight or lab test environmentProficiency in CATIA/ENOVIA/NX/TeamcenterKnowledge of machine shop fabrication capabilities including conventional & CNC machining, EDM, fit/finish tools & processes, and QA inspectionKnowledge/familiarity with rapid prototyping processes & toolsFamiliarity with stress analysis/structural analysisDay-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)Synthesis of test hardware & instrumentation requirements in support of machine shop fabrication, laboratory, and flight testReview of design models and drawingsCreating/reviewing redlines and coordinating with design to incorporate updatesAuthorship of manufacturing plans to facilitate buildSourcing of fabrication & assembly including work statement creation as neededFabrication coordination and liaisonPart sourcing from productionProcurement of parts/material to support testCoordination with supplier managementShipside (at the aircraft) support of test hardware and/or instrumentation installationAt times support manufacturing engineering tasks across different company sitesClose coordination with test engineers and technicians, instrumentation engineers, program engineers, customers, fabrication technicians and support personnel (material management), and electrical and mechanical designers across BT&E and program teamsCompany Benefits & CultureComprehensive health and wellness benefitsOpportunities for professional growth and developmentCollaborative and innovative work environment
