Summer Camp Staff

Job Description SummarySummer Camp Staff are responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children enrolled in the summer program. Staff will lead activities, supervise play, and support children's social, emotional, and physical development while ensuring all licensing and safety standards are met.Seasonal position (Summer months)Full-time and part-time hours availableCan possibly run into working the fall school yearDutiesSupervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-beingPlan and lead age-appropriate activities (arts & crafts, games, outdoor play, water play, etc.)Assist with daily routines including meals, snacks, rest time, and transitionsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom or activity spaceBuild positive relationships with children, families, and team membersEncourage positive behavior and model appropriate social skillsFollow all daycare policies, procedures, and state licensing regulationsAssist with field trips and special summer eventsCommunicate effectively with lead teachers and administrationPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and actively engage with children for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 30 lbs (if working with younger children)Comfortable participating in outdoor activitiesRequirementsMust be at least 18 years oldExperience working with children preferred (babysitting, camp, daycare, etc.)High school diploma or currently enrolled (or equivalent)CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Ability to pass background checkNice To HavesWhy Join Deep Creek Academy?Supportive and welcoming team environmentOpportunity to gain hands-on experience in early childhood educationFun, themed summer program filled with engaging activitiesA chance to make a meaningful impact in children's livesBenefitsN/A
