This position is posted at hierarchy and can be hired at either Sales Advisor or Senior Sales Advisor level. The identified candidate will be hired at a level commensurate with their skills.
Sales Advisor
How Is This Role Important to Our Work?
This position supports direct sales staff as assigned. Works directly with sales executives, prospects, and consultants to facilitate the sales process of new accounts. Responsible for assessing client market requirements, researching, developing, and documenting solutions. Assists in leading the internal cross-functional team to produce a winning proposal and communications materials. Incumbent works with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders with multiple priorities and tight deadlines. This position assists in the development and analysis of network financial data for prospects, existing accounts, and consultants.
A Day in the Life:
Provide external and internal support to sales lead throughout the RFP/proposal process.
Understands the RFP/proposal process and supports sales in the coordination of internal resources (Product, underwriting, RFP, network, marketing etc.) for purposes of developing winning solution.
Interface with broker/consultant and prospects as directed by sales lead to facilitate data gathering, RFP prep, and overall sales process.
Acquire full knowledge of products and services, for the purpose of recommending client solutions and overseeing sales-related projects.
Overseeing the organization of client site visits through internal team preparation, coordinating SMEs, understanding the business objective and continuous communication with sales lead.
Manages content creation for Strategic Sales Consultants and sales leaders for internal and external presentations.
Coordinate creation and analysis of network financial information for sales lead as needed, facilitating the client and consultant re-pricing exercises.
Support sales lead in execution of broker and consultant strategic plans.
Work closely with sales management team to successfully achieve annual sales plan, successfully achieving membership and financial targets, and maintaining strong broker/consultant relations.
Provide reporting on opportunity management and identify potential RFP/RFQ potential based on SIP/Calendar year to support forecasting and budgeting.
Nice to Have:
Bachelor's degree.
Knowledge of Blue Cross and affiliates products.
Required Skills and Experiences:
2-3 years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
Possess and maintain a valid MN Resident Producer License in the lines of Life & Health/ Accident in good standing within 60 days of employment.
Strong analytical, problem identification and resolution skills as these pertain to benefit plans.
Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to pay close attention to detail. Ability to communicate with external clients.
Ability to establish matrix partnerships and follow through on expectations.
Capable of influencing internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
Positive attitude and the ability to participate as part of a team to assure plan compliance and client/broker satisfaction.
Sr Sales Advisor
How Is This Role Important to Our Work?
This position supports Coupe Health account sales executives and management. Works internally with product, marketing, underwriting, care management, network, underwriting, IPMC, RFP and other necessary areas to facilitate or lead sales process on behalf of the sales executives. Works externally with channel partners (brokers/consultants) as directed by the sales executive to facilitate prospecting, proposals, RFP’s, training, relationship building, meetings, and general sales communication. Works with prospective clients as directed by sales executive to facilitate proposal/RFP development, market research, data gathering and sales planning.
A Day in the Life:
Works directly with sales management team to successfully achieve annual sales plan, successfully achieving membership and financial targets, and maintaining strong broker/consultant relations.
Fully understands and can help facilitate RFP/proposal process, support Strategic Sales Consultants in the coordination of internal resources (Product, underwriting, RFP, network, marketing etc.) for purposes of developing winning solution and collaborates with Broker/Consultants/Prospects to facilitate data gathering, RFP prep and overall sales process.
Lead process improvement initiatives for the sales team.
Responsible for analyzing network financial data, strategic plans, and channel production reporting, maintaining CRM information for channel and for prospects.
Creates competitive analysis reports using Interplan, Consortium, and other databases.
Support Coupe Health Strategic Sales Consultants and management with prospect and channel specific strategic plans, reporting, SFDC application and new sales implementation.
Manages content creation for Strategic Sales Consultants and sales leaders for internal and external presentations.
Leverage organizational knowledge and business insight to develop effective relationships with leadership throughout the organization.
Support leadership strategies and critical issues through assigned continuous improvement project engagements and go to market approaches.
Manages business partner relationships for assigned projects; represents the department on various internal and external committees, workgroups, Consultants, Blues Plans, Agencies, booth/sponsorship exhibits and client meetings.
Assist in overseeing the organization of prospect, broker, or consultant meetings through internal team preparation, coordinating SME’s, understanding the business objective and continuous communication with sales lead.
