Athletic Trainer Substitute - $55/hour
A Substitute Certified Athletic Trainer for the high school is responsible for providing temporary coverage and care for student-athletes during practices, games, and other athletic events. The role involves evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating injuries, as well as ensuring a safe environment for physical activity. The substitute athletic trainer collaborates with coaches, parents, and medical professionals to prevent injuries, provide first aid, and implement rehabilitation programs when necessary. Key duties include:
Injury prevention: Educating athletes on proper techniques, warm-up routines, and injury prevention strategies.
Immediate care: Administering first aid and evaluating injuries on-site, making referrals to medical professionals if necessary.
Rehabilitation: Assisting in the recovery process by implementing and overseeing rehab exercises and treatments.
Documentation: Keeping accurate records of injuries, treatments, and progress.
Communication: Liaising with parents, coaches, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care for injured athletes.
Safety oversight: Ensuring proper use of athletic equipment and facilities to minimize injury risks.
Certification as an athletic trainer and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies are essential for this role.

NH State Licensure
BOC Certified
Bachelor’s Required
Offers of employment are conditional pending the results of FBI Fingerprinting and a Criminal Record check.
