*Progressive Dynamics Inc.* *Senior Electrical Design Engineer* *Department: *Engineering *Job Status: *Full Time *FLSA Status: *Exempt *Reports To: *Electrical Engineering Manager *Grade/Level: * *Amount of Travel Required: *5% *Work Schedule: *40+ hours *Positions Supervised: *None *POSITION SUMMARY* Research, analyze, develop, design, and test systems, products, and components for industrial, commercial, and medical use. Primary design concentration is power conversion. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* · Create, design, and develop innovative concepts for new products or improvements to existing products. · Perform original circuit design for digital and analog systems, and the interfaces between them, including component design, thermal design, and physical layout of schematics and pc boards. · Working knowledge of power conversion techniques · Working knowledge of embedded systems with the use of CAN (RV-C or J1939). · Analyze and design transformers, coils, and thermal networks and components. · Evaluate and select components and vendors. Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment. · Develop manufacturing test methods, procedures and equipment.
