This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys change and prefers variety in their routine.The ideal candidate would be a self-starter who can work independently once trained and work well with other nurses in this shared clinic space. Specialties currently being practiced at the office are: ENT, Ob/Gyn, Vascular, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Addiction Medicine.Under the direction of the attending physician, RN, Lead LPN or practice coordinator, the LPN will provide direct patient care and assist in the following clinical functions to all providers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Obtains and accurately record patient’s vital signsDocuments components of patient’s historyCommunicates in an open and appropriate manner with patients, visitors and staffParticipates in in-office procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare providerPerforms diagnostic CLIA waived testingPerforms venipuncture to obtain blood for lab testingPrescription call-backs per scope of practicePreps patient’s chart for pertinent clinical informationMaintains inventory of supplies, and keeps patient examination rooms stockedAdheres to AMC’s regulatory compliance issuesFloat to other sites as needed for clinical coverage. Other duties as assigned by the manager. Qualifications:High School Diploma/G.E.D. - requiredPrevious experience in a patient care setting - preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, patients and their family members or other employees within the work setting.
