Seeing their progress and knowing I played a part in their journey is what makes this work so meaningful.From your first week, you'll be paired with a direct supervisor & mentor who will help you navigate your new role, answer questions, and support your ongoing development.Key Responsibilities:Guide and mentor families, acting as a bridge to community resources, services, and support networksProvide one-on-one skill teaching and coaching to parents and caregiversSupervise parenting time (visitation) and, when needed, facilitate drug testing services as part of family support plansTransport children to supervised visits with their parents (GLFS provides car seats as needed)Maintain autonomy and a flexible schedule while meeting assigned case hoursAttend weekly meetings and training with your supervisor, as well as monthly agency-wide trainingParticipate in 40+ hours of paid/invested initial training (including job shadows and supervisor support), with continuing education and professional development opportunities throughout your tenureWork Schedule:All positions start as part-time, with the opportunity to scaffold to consistent full-time work based on performance and agency needs.Compensation & Benefits:$20-22/hour, plus an additional $3/hour differential for weekend work (Saturdays and Sundays)Mileage reimbursement for client-related travel40+ hours of paid/invested initial training (including job shadows and supervisor support), with continuing education and professional development opportunities throughout your tenureFull-Time Benefits:Medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and paid holidaysAll Staff Benefits:Tuition reimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Sick LeaveMASA (Medical Transport Ambulance Insurance)Supplemental insurance optionsGenerous referral bonusesMentorship program for ongoing guidance and supportRequirementsJob RequirementsAt least 2 years of experience supporting or mentoring others-this can include paid work, volunteer roles, or lived experience in your community or family.A degree in human services is valued but not requiredHighly self-motivated, with a passion for empowering others and a clear understanding that humans need guidance and support to thriveTimely and professional communicationAbility to build trust and rapport with familiesReliable personal vehicle for frequent travel/transport (GLFS provides car seats as needed)Valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and InsuranceBackground checks will be requiredGuardian Light Family Services was founded in 2016.
