JOB TITLE: AssemblerLOCATION: Capewell Aerial Systems - South Windsor, CTREPORTS TO: Production ManagerPOSITION SUMMARY: Assemble, perform test and in-process inspection. Work to work orders and written & verbal work instructions. Follow procedures for packaging and crating for shipment. Working in a team environment to accomplish objectives.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssemble parts for finished product from assembly drawingsUse hand-tools or machines to assembleDeburr parts using hand-tools, rotary filers, and machine barrel tumblersUse a grinding machine or perform swaging operations, which may require enrollment and compliance with the company’s hearing conservation program. Fill out inspection, work orders, and process recordsMeet established quality and production levelsRead simple printsFollow work orders and labor tracking processPackage, crate and prepare for shippingInspect own work with standard gagingMaintain quality and production standardsMaintain a safe and clean work area.Work cooperatively with other employees to meet department and company goals.This position requires personal protective equipment on the shop floor where safety glasses and composite toe safety shoes are required by all.OTHER DUTIES: Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors or management to support departmental and organizational objectives.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
