IBM Mainframe Developer

Job Position:- IBM Mainframe Developer (Natural & COBOL Expertise) Location:- Tallahassee, Florida Applications Development Analyst Task List. The Contractor, through the Applications Development Analyst it provides, shall perform the following tasks as necessary to complete work on/for FLAIR as assigned by the Department’s Contract Manager: 1. Works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. 2. Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget. 3. Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. 4. Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, and product evaluation Educational Requirements. The Contractor Representative, and any subsequent Contractor Representative provided by the Contractor, must possess, at a minimum: 1. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. 2. Five (5) years or more in software development experience Mandatory Qualifications Proficient in the English language Strong IBM mainframe application development fundamentals Experience with COBOL and NATURAL programming languages Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle Methodology Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in an Agile environment within small teams Strong problem-solving ability Job Type: Contract Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour Ability to commute/relocate: Tallahassee, FL 32399: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: Natural Mainframe Language: 5 years (Preferred) IBM Mainframe Development: 5 years (Preferred) COBOL: 5 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
