Trust & Estates Paralegal
Trueline's client, a boutique trust company serving high-net-worth individuals and families across the US and internationally, is seeking an experienced Trust & Estates Paralegal to join their team in Las Vegas, NV (primarily remote). This role serves as the internal expert on trust instruments and administration, supporting senior trust officers by interpreting complex documents, guiding distribution decisions, and ensuring accurate execution across a diverse portfolio of trusts.What You'll Do as the Paralegal:Review and interpret trust instruments, including revocable, irrevocable, and discretionary trustsIdentify and apply distribution standards (including HEMS) to support discretionary distribution decisionsExtract and summarize key provisions such as beneficiary rights, trustee powers, and administrative guidelinesSupport trust administration across a portfolio, including trust onboarding, funding, and maintenancePrepare and process custodian documentation (Schwab, Fidelity, and other brokerage forms)Complete account opening, transfer of assets (TOA), and beneficiary-related documentationAssist with trust-owned entities, including coordination with LLC structures where applicableSupport compliance efforts, including handling W-9, W-8BEN, and other regulatory formsPartner with trust officers to fulfill beneficiary requests and internal document-based researchMust-Haves as the Paralegal:3+ years of experience in Nevada trust and estate planning as a paralegalStrong experience reviewing and interpreting trust instruments and estate planning documentsFamiliarity with discretionary trusts and distribution standards (e.g., HEMS)Experience handling financial and custodial documentation (account opening, TOA, etc.)High attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume, document-heavy workflowsSelf-directed and comfortable working in a primarily remote environmentNice-to-Haves as the Paralegal:Exposure to trust administration, fiduciary services, or private trust companies (PTCs)Familiarity with IRS forms such as 1041, K-1, or FATCA/CRS reportingExperience working with trust-owned LLCs or multi-entity structuresSpanish or Chinese language skillsOur Client Offers:Competitive base salary with performance-based bonusPrimarily remote work with minimal in-office requirements4 weeks PTO plus all bank holidays100% employer-paid healthcare premiums with low deductible, including family and dental401k planEquipment provided including laptop, phone, and printerStrong growth path into a Trust Officer role (if desired)Flexible, outcome-driven culture with minimal bureaucracyTrueline and its clients are unabashed equal-opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
