Program Coordinator

Mid-Atlantic Gigabit Innovation Collaboratory (MAGIC) is seeking a dynamic, organized individual to join our team. The Program Coordinator will support the Program Director. This position will be responsible for supporting and executing various educational programs offered by the organization pertaining to extracurricular tech and cybersecurity activities.Coordinator will help facilitate engagement with our community and education partners and manage participant reporting in conjunction with our various grant awards.Responsibilities of this position included but are not limited to the following:• Support end-to-end planning and logistics for MAGIC's community engagement activities.• Support on-site activities (ie. registration, volunteer coordination, catering, etc.) and be present during event hours.• Support processes, guidelines, and programs.• Manage pre-event registration and outreach, such as communication with sponsors, volunteers, vendors, etc.• Be aware of and communicate necessities for all event and location permits required for on-site events• Manage the schedule of workshops and in-school clubs, maintaining communication with community partners and instructors.• Support marketing initiatives thru social media and websiteSome local travel will be required to support the various activities.Minimum Qualifications:• AA or equivalent experience in a similar role• Valid Driver’s License• Must be 21 years or older with a valid ID• Minimum of 1 year experience with organization and planningKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:• Ability to work independently and in a team environment• Comfort communicating with students grades 8-12 and undergrad, as well as coordinating with school administrators• Strong organizational skills• Effective verbal and written communication skills• Knowledge of Google Suite/Microsoft Office• Ability to understand and quickly learn various software applications like CRMs, WordPress, web applications, etc.• Provide creative input and assist with tech program development.• Knowledge of Canva or equivalent preferred• Knowledge of Wordpress helpful.• Strong Technical/computer skillsProven experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully in the duties of the position. Prior teaching/counseling experience with K-12 students is a plus.Work schedule may change week to week.
