About the OpportunityThis position plays an important role in supporting the organization's campaign and donor accounting functions, with a primary focus on accounts receivable processing, pledge tracking, collections support, and daily cash activity. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of accounting, customer service, reconciliation work, and administrative coordination within a purpose-driven organization.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and post daily cash receipts and donor paymentsDownload and reconcile daily banking activity and depositsEnsure payments are applied correctly by donor account, transaction type, and campaign yearReview and balance deposits against accounting recordsMaintain pledge receivable accounts and assist with collections follow-upEnter cash receipt activity into the accounting systemPrepare donor statements, thank-you letters, invoices, and supporting reportsResearch and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issuesMaintain donor and vendor records within the accounting systemSupport monthly reconciliations and provide backup documentation to accounting leadershipCoordinate with internal departments regarding donor payments and pledge activityDeliver professional, responsive customer service to donors, vendors, and internal staffAssist with additional accounting and administrative projects as neededIdeal BackgroundAccounting or accounts receivable experience in a professional office environmentExperience handling reconciliations, billing support, payment posting, and cash applicationsStrong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple deadlinesComfortable researching discrepancies and identifying solutions independentlyAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information professionallyStrong communication and customer service skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and accounting softwareExperience with donor databases, nonprofit accounting, or fund accounting is helpful but not requiredAssociate degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience preferredWhy This RoleOpportunity to support meaningful community-focused workStable, collaborative nonprofit environmentVariety of accounting and operational responsibilitiesStrong team culture with mission-driven leadershipCompetitive compensation and benefits package based on experience55,000 – 65,000Please submit resume for immediate consideration.Tia McKeen, Senior Managing Director - StaffingTiming is everything.
