QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited educational institute.
Master's degree is desirable.
Certification and/or licensure in Speech/Language Pathology by the State of Florida.
Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Additional or alternative qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Board.
REPORTS TO
Principal and Coordinator of ESE
JOB GOAL
Provide a comprehensive program for students referred to the speech/language impaired program.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify students with speech and/or language impairments.
Determine program eligibility.
Schedule students appropriately.
Plan and conduct therapy programs and manage IEPs.
Maintain audit files.
Consult with parents, teachers, and administrators.
Participate in child study team meetings.
Provide statistical and program planning data.
Order materials and supplies.
Maintain certification and licensure requirements.
Use effective interpersonal communication skills.
Engage in continuing professional development.
Perform additional assigned duties.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, lifting up to 25 pounds, vision acuity, and working in a moderate-noise environment.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and benefits in accordance with District compensation plan.
EVALUATION
Performance evaluated per Board policy.
SALARY RANGE: $57,321 - $66,105
*ADVANCE DEGREE SUPLEMENTS: * MASTER'S DEGREE $2,667.00; SPECIALIST/DOCTORATE $3,667.00
208 DAY CALENDAR; 8 hours per day
Pay: $57,321.00 - $66,105.00 per year
