We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to support our continued growth and help ensure competitive, accurate, and profitable bids.Position Summary:The Construction Estimator plays a critical role in the financial success of Barber Drywall, Inc. This position is responsible for reviewing construction documents, performing detailed quantity take-offs, and preparing accurate estimates to support bidding and project planning.This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret construction drawings, and collaboration with project managers to ensure estimates align with job specifications, site conditions, and company standards. Key Responsibilities: Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirementsPerform detailed quantity take-offs for drywall, framing, materials, and related construction componentsPrepare accurate and well-documented take-off reports to support project estimates and bidsCollaborate with project managers and operations staff to review scope, assumptions, and job requirementsAnalyze job site conditions and adjust estimates based on actual project constraintsInput and manage data within estimating software to ensure consistency and accuracySupport the bidding process by preparing reliable, competitive estimatesProcess change orders and revise estimates as project scope changesEnsure compliance with company standards, estimating procedures, and applicable regulationsStay current on construction methods, materials, pricing trends, and applicable building codes Qualifications:Minimum of 4+ years of experience in construction estimating or quantity take-offsStrong knowledge of construction principles, methods, and materials (drywall experience preferred)Proficiency with estimating software such as PlanSwift or Bluebeam; Procore experience is a plusStrong mathematical skills with a solid understanding of geometryAbility to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawingsFamiliarity with construction materials and associated costsHigh level of attention to detail and accuracy in calculationsStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlinesHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCertification in construction management or estimating is preferred
