Product Control & Valuations (Leading Global Hedge Fund)

Our client is a global investment house with a track record of turning bold ideas into market-leading returns. They combine the stability of significant permanent capital with the pace, creativity, and entrepreneurial feel of a boutique. Here, smart people are given room to think, challenge, and innovate. Silos don’t exist — you’ll work directly with senior decision-makers, contribute to big-picture initiatives, and see the tangible results of your work in real time. This is an environment where curiosity is encouraged, ideas are acted on quickly, and high performers can make their mark fast.If you’re looking for something broader and more dynamic than traditional product control, this is it.You’ll join a high-performing team that sits at the heart of the investment process — partnering with portfolio managers and traders to deliver accurate, timely P&L and valuations, and solving problems as markets move. The remit covers a diverse, complex product set across fixed income, equities, and OTC derivatives, so no two days are the same. But this isn’t just BAU. You’ll be a key player in rethinking and rebuilding the firm’s valuation and P&L infrastructure, introducing smarter processes, and delivering efficiency gains across the business. With a flat structure, you’ll have the autonomy to take ideas from concept to execution — often directly influencing how the firm prices risk, values positions, and manages capital. The successful candidate will likely come from a sell-side product control team, a trading desk environment, or another buy-side middle office role — but what sets you apart is your ability to combine technical know-how with commercial awareness. We’re looking for:Product depth – strong exposure to complex fixed income and derivativesPricing and data expertise – comfortable navigating multiple market data sources and reference data frameworks.Influence and presence – able to build trust with PMs, traders, and tech teams, and drive projects forward.Proactive mindset – spotting opportunities for improvement and making them happen.Technical skills (Excel, coding, analytics) and relevant qualifications are welcome, but attitude, adaptability, and intellectual curiosity are what will make you stand out. This is a chance to step into a front-row seat in the investment process — where your work directly impacts performance, your ideas get heard, and your career can accelerate fast.
