Associate Archaeologist – Rocklin

ECORP Consulting, Inc. is seeking a full-time Associate Archaeologist to join our Northern California cultural resources team. The position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects throughout the region while being based out of our Rocklin, California office. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of supporting both field and office-based cultural resources work.Responsibilities IncludeConduct pedestrian surveys and site documentationPrepare maps, records, and technical reportsPerform construction monitoring and archaeological excavationsConduct archival and background research as neededCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clientsSupport project and business development activities within the regionRequirementsMaster’s degree or higher in Anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience; 5 years of experience in environmental and cultural resources management in California (CRM) is highly desiredAbility to conduct fieldwork and construction monitoring, including travel and work in challenging outdoor environmentsStrong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration in a smaller office environmentWorking knowledge of federal and state cultural resources regulationsFamiliarity with the prehistory, history, archaeology, and ethnography of Northern CaliforniaPhysical RequirementsThis position requires hiking over uneven terrain, carrying field equipment, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and standing or walking for extended periods of timeCompensationThis is a full-time hourly position with a range of $30.00 – $37.00 per hour.
