When necessary, the Jr Formulator will cover the roles and responsibilities of the Formulator should the Formulator not be able to do so for any reason. The Jr Formulator may also be required to complete or assist with other duties as assigned by management.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Read and accurately follow the formulation recipeBlend various chemicals per production recipe to meet the demands of productionReport any potential production or quality issues to the shift supervisor immediatelyAdjust batches as directed by lab personnel or the shift supervisorTroubleshoot equipment malfunctions in the formulation and packaging areas when neededMaintain a clean, neat and orderly work areaConduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and complies with EHSQ requirementsAssist in formulation and packaging areas as directed by the shift supervisor when necessaryMust adhere to all policies and procedures of UPL, NAREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Highschool diploma or GED certificate required1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment preferredAttention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipmentMeet all physical requirement of the positionDemonstrated ability to work as part of a team while having a strong focus on safetyGood math skills and a mechanical aptitude requiredKEY COMPETENCIES:Flexibility/Adaptability: Responds to the changing needs of the business and personally identifies and champions new ideas for improvement and growthOrganization/Project Management: Designs and maintains effective systems and processes for managing work and can plan and schedule work according to changing prioritiesRelationship Management: Maintains regular communication with team members and fosters an environment of teamworkCustomer Orientation: Determines and fulfills customers' needs and expectationsProblem Solving: Identifies root cause of a problem and works with others to permanently fix the issueCommunication: Speaks, writes, listens and presents information in an articulate and logical manner that is appropriate for the audience
