Land Use Planner

Currently we are looking for a talented and creative individual to join our team as a Land Use Planner on a permanent, long-term basis. Job Description: Responsible for working with Senior Project Planners and Project Planners on all aspects of planning design. The Planner is reliant on design and scheduling direction. Tasks are primarily completed with significant oversight. The Planner must have some knowledge of Planning principles, City and County Code as well as software technical skills. Prepare preliminary plat plans, graphics, and other exhibits Research zoning code and other requirements that pertain to feasibility studies and preliminary plat plans Collaborate with team members, other departments and consultants Conduct site visits and document site conditions Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning or Architecture (or equivalent) Knowledge of the elements of planning and urban design Strong design skills, including conceptual sketching and drafting Knowledge of AutoCAD Ability to work both collaboratively and independently Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines Detail oriented Strong communication and organizational skills Valid driver’s license required Direction: Reports to Director of Planning Benefits: Per the Core Design, Inc.
