Intern-PHMSA Compliance
JOB DESCRIPTION
The PHMSA Compliance Department oversees the company's compliance program related to Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) pipeline safety regulations (49 CFR Parts 190‑199), as well as applicable state regulations. Responsibilities include facilitating inspections, conducting incident investigations, responding to enforcement actions, providing training, and updating relevant operations, maintenance, engineering and design, construction, and public awareness manuals.
What you will bring
Education: Student actively enrolled in an approved Bachelor of Engineering degree program with expected graduation date December 2025‑December 2028.

Internships are temporary full‑time positions, hosted 10 weeks in the summer of 2026 (May‑August) at our Lakewood, CO. office with an in‑person/remote hybrid model.
Compensation and other benefits
Pay Range $23.22‑$31.01 USD hourly
Possible stipend to subsidize housing costs
Overtime pay, paid time off, and other benefits may be included based on experience, qualifications, skills, and working location.
What you’ll do
Learn MOP/MAOP Confirmation
Assist with audit prep—reviewing records, procedures, SSP’s and visiting field locations to confirm audit readiness
Help fine‑tune agency inspections and enforcement response/status updates
Develop training/testing tools from the O&M procedures using AI
