They assemble, inspect, install and test new pieces of equipment to ensure proficiency. Area Maintenance Technicians are expected to perform emergency repairs, which necessitates the ability to troubleshoot promptly. Preventive maintenance needs to be performed frequently.Key responsibilities: Wet Mill Maintenance TechnicianMust have demonstrated mechanical knowledge to analyze and solve mechanical problems such as gearboxes, bearings, blowers centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, agitators, centrifuges, rotary valves, and other process equipmentMust be able to inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges and other measuring instrumentsMust have prior experience in installing special functional and structural parts in equipment such as column packing, distillation column trays, spray headers, centrifuge cloths and knives, filter belts, etc.Drive PM/PdM program in support of plant reliability program.
